For patients of families of patients with uterine sarcoma so that they can find trials that they are eligible for.

My name is Eden Kohane. I am not a doctor but people I love have had this disease.

I can try to find you doctors who can answer your questions. I don’t know very much about medicine. So please do not ask me medical questions.

I call or email the contact person and make sure that the trial is still open for patients. This also means that a trial may be open for patients but if they never responded to my emails or calls I have no way of knowing for sure that they are open. Those trials will therefore not appear here. But if you do figure out that a trial is open and is not found here please let me know by contacting me.

First of all, remember that this site translates those criteria from the authoritative sites. Follow the link posted on the trial page to the external authoritative site. Second, perhaps you are interpreting the criteria differently than the people running the trial. Therefore if you have any question whether you do quality for a trial, just reach out to the contact listed for each trial. It's their job to figure out if you do qualify.

Chemotherapy attacks the biological processes that cancer cells use to divide rapidly. Unfortunately, many other cells in our bodies divide rapidly such as hair cells, gut cells and blood cells and so chemotherapy often also affects these health tissues (i.e. side effects). Targeted treatment is directed at mutations that are specific to some cancers in some individuals. Therefore there typically are fewer side effects.
